Hotel Collection (not the ones associated with Macy’s) is one of my favorite brands that’s focusing on making your home or office smelling amazing all day and night long. Their scents are similar to those that are used in some of the biggest luxury hotels in the world.

Hotel Collection Diffuser Overview
I actually first heard about the Hotel Collection diffuser where I get just about all of my new product ideas – TikTok. At last look, their videos and reviews had more than 24 million views (about 1 million were from me).
While they offer a wide variety of fragrance-related products like candles and room sprays, I was most interested in their diffuser. I regularly shopped the plugins from Bath & Bodyworks and really did love them, but had to buy so many of them each and every month just to make a few of my rooms smell amazing all day long.
I was intrigued by Hotel Collection because one diffuser could fill about almost 500 square feet (bigger than most New York City apartments).
What’s really cool about their fragrances is that they’re modeled after some of the top luxury hotels all over the country – and the world. So if you’ve ever stepped into a Four Seasons, the Delano Hotel in South Beach, the Hotel Costes in Paris, and the W Hotel – you know they have these signature scents. Now your home can smell just like that and, spoiler alert, now that I purchased one mine does too!
Based on which diffuser you choose and how long you run it, the scent can last for about one month before it needs to be replaced with a new scent bottle. I’ll get into how it all works below.

How to Use It & How Long It Lasts
My Hotel Collection diffuser is actually really easy to use. First off, when it arrives it comes perfectly packaged – safe and secure. I was like, oh they fancy!
In order to use it all you really have to do is:
- Unscrew the top of the diffuser and remove it from the base.
- Unscrew the oil you chose and remove the safety seal (just poke some holes or pull it off).
- Place the small plastic tube into your oil bottle and screw it into the top of the diffuser itself.
- Don’t tighten it too much as you don’t want it to crack.
- Place the top of the diffuser back onto the base and screw it back together.
- Done!
That’s really all you need to do. It took me less than one minute to piece it all together and get it running.
The only tricky part for me was the remote control. I don’t feel like it was overly intuitive, as there are a lot of options on it. However, what’s cool about it is that you can choose how much of the scent you want released, the concentration level, and even if you want it to run for 4 hours or 8 hours before it shuts off.
I did have to Google it a bit to figure out the best way to use the remote.
I purchased the Hotel Collection diffuser that will fill up to 400 square feet. If I run it for 4 – 8 hours per day the fragrance will last for almost one month. However, if I skip a day or decide I don’t need a full 8 hours it definitely lasts longer than a month.
Pros & Cons
I’ve put together a short list of pros and cons based on my personal experience with their diffuser. I always say that everything can be subjective, but wanted to highlight some areas that were important to me in hopes it helps you make the decision if you’re ready to take the leap with this.
What I Loved:
- It truly does smell amazing and I loved every single oil scent I purchased.
- You start to smell it almost immediately once you turn it on – so it does not take time to get going.
- It’s kid, pet, and furniture safe.
- Setting it for 4 or 8 hours to run and then auto shut-off is helpful – kind of like set it and forget it.
- Legit, every single person who entered my house was like “It smells awesome in here!”
- Overall each oil bottle will last about one month before a replacement is needed.
Just a Heads-Up:
- It’s definitely expensive, even with a sale or promo code (more on this below).
- The diffuser itself is not silent, so you do hear a little bit of noise (almost like white noise).
- The remote is a bit confusing to use and program.
- I’m not entirely sure it really covers 400 square feet. It covered more of the room it’s in plus a hallway.
