Stop everything you’re doing. Everything. Because our latest obsession this year is all things Daily Harvest. All the things. If you haven’t heard of them yet, get ready, because you’re about to get hooked and your body (and waistline) is going to thank you.
Latest From Daily Harvest Here
Our Take:
Like millions of other annoying Americans, we were ready to make a lifestyle change when the new year hit. After a year of Covid, quarantine, working from home, and never being able to hit the gym, we definitely needed something. Outside of seeing a bunch of their commercials where all the fruits and vegetables looked amazing, we were finally convinced when we read a first account review from Business Insider – and since we think BI is basically the Bible, we were ready to take the plunge.

If you’re not entirely familiar with them, here’s what they do and how it works. They’re basically an amazing subscription box service that’ll deliver you pre-proportioned fruits, vegetables, superfoods, and more to your home (or apartment!) either on a weekly basis or monthly. Your choice. You can choose addicted essentials like:
- Smoothies
- Harvest Bowls
- Soups
- Chia Bowls
- Frozen ice cream like treats
- Lattes (yes, really)
- And. So. Much. More.
The best part, honestly, is how everything is already set up for you. It takes virtually no time to prepare and really no thought at all because they do it all for you. For us, we’re kind of lazy when it comes to preparing food and, quite honestly, we don’t really even know where to begin. All the smoothies we’ve tried were delicious and some had things inside we would have never tried ourselves before, like, ever. Just take a look at some of the yumminess:
We were a bit nervous to join, so we started with their least frequent option, but after the first week we upgraded to weekly. You can even pick and choose the type of things you like so you’ll likely actually enjoy it and it’s even a great way to try out some new things.
Now – in no way is anyone claiming this is a diet or weight loss program, like at all. But, when we started this and started our Nordictrack spin class at the same time we were able to lose some weight at a faster rate than we’ve ever had in the past. Of course this meant that we were replacing some of the garbage we had been having for breakfast and lunch but, honestly, this type of healthier eating and regular exercise really worked for us. It totally may not work the same for you, but when does eating healthier ever hurt?!
So if you’re new to this or were on the fence for a bit, we definitely recommend giving Daily Harvest a try. We’re so glad we did and we know we’re off to such a great start this year! Oh, and by the way, fi you’re looking for more plant-based meal plans, you may want to look into Purple Carrot too.
The Deal With the Deals:
So there really aren’t many sales or deals we’ve seen since we began our research and review of DH (we’re calling them that now). When this is typically the case we always recommend to immediately sign up for their free newsletter because, that way, you’ll be the first to know about new offers, future potential sales, and if they’re having any exclusive promo sales and the like. If you’re interested, sign up here.
To Gift or Not to Gift:
So, yeah, this actually makes a really great gift idea for a variety of people who are usually on your gifting list – whether it’s for their birthday, Christmas, or just because. We’ve put together a short gift guide on some popular ideas for some of the most popular folks who are likely be the most interested:
- The Wife – Go with their weekly subscription – See it here
- Your Best Friend – They’ll want to do this with you – See it here
- The 40th Birthday – If there was ever a time for them to start eating healthier – See it here
And, when all else fails, you can always go with their eGift Card. You can email it to them on the date of your choosing, so if you’re totally last minute like us, this really comes in handy.
The Deal With Promo Codes:
Overall, no, Daily Harvest doesn’t have coupons or promo codes in the way you’d be hoping for. We have seen on TV commercials (especially when watching Hulu lately) ways to save $20, but if you’re going to head over to the sites that usually have discount codes, you may be out of luck. In our experience, we didn’t see any that worked.
While we don’t have any promo codes here, DH does at times have certain offers for new customers. Like we mentioned, sign up for their emails to stay in the loop, and check out their homepage because usually at the very top they’ll display their promo offers if they’re having one today. For us, we were able to take $20 off our first box with their own code. Easy peasy!
