Now you basically never have to leave your house again thanks to Postmates amazing food and stuff delivery service. Typically most people have used them for their favorite food deliveries, but since times are changing, Postmates is here to help!
In the world we currently live in companies like Postmates have pretty much saved us time and time again. If you think they only deliver from your favorite local restaurants, well, you’d be half-right. Sure they do that, but you can also have them pick up and deliver things you need from places like Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, Walmart, Target, and way more from all across the United States!
We wanted to update our Postmates review since we’ve been using them more and more during this terrible pandemic. We thought we’d add some “good to knows” overall that will hopefully help you out!
The Free Delivery Perk: We were a bit leery about signing up for their Unlimited Plan, but after seeing how delivery charges and fees can change during peak hours and, honestly, how often we’ve been using them (for us) going with their Unlimited Plan is totally worth it. You can try it out for 7 days for free and, if you like it, you can either get charged $9.99/month or just $99 for the year. Paying for the year upfront will save you about $20. Here’s what you’ll get:
- Free Delivery on All Order Over $12
- No Increased “Blitz” Pricing During Busy Times
- Exclusive Offers and Promo Codes For Members
- Access to Giveaways and Special Local Events
Yes, You Can Get Booze: We’re not going to lie, alcohol delivery is totally key these days! And, yes, they will actually deliver you booze (as long as it’s available/legal in your location) and, even better, you can get it as soon as 1-hour! Most major cities/states are included, but you can simply click here and add your zip-code to see if it’s available. We can’t recommend this perk enough! Cheers!
The Deal With the Deals:
Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with current deals. They don’t necessarily have sales but there are some deals we researched and (at this time) seem to still be valid. As always, check with them directly to make sure all offers are still good, but these are some of the best we’ve used:
- Get 1 Week of Free Delivery – Learn More Here
- Get $100 in Free Delivery Credits – Learn More Here
- Earn Up to $20 With “Refer a Friend” – Learn More Here
To Gift or Not to Gift:
Yes, please! Postmates always makes a really unique gift idea, especially when they already have everything. Here’s a short list we put together of who you can gift:
- Your Brother – When he already has everything go with their gift card – See it here
- Aunts – They could use a little help with their everyday life – See it here
- Moms – Because they’re tired of cooking, so give them a break – See it here
- Wine Snobs – Wine delivered right to their front door? Yes! – See it here
To Deal With Promo Codes:
So the real deal with promo codes is that Postmates really doesn’t hand those out, at least not to other websites (we don’t have them either). A lot of different online third-parties claim to have an exclusive promo code and a variety of coupons, but the only way to really find an active offer is to just shop direct with Postmates themselves.
Per usual, we always recommend signing up for their emails because they’ll send you new offerings, new promotions, and everything in between. This way, you’ll always be in the know. Totally worth it!
Check out some of the best of Postmates, including new restaurants and retailers, best sellers, and any promo offer happening (so far) in December 2023!
And Don’t Forget
Go Unlimited: If you’re new to them, we recommend signing up for Postmates Unlimited, which you can actually try for free for 7-days and get unlimited free deliveries on just about everything! If you choose to continue after the 7-days, it’ll only cost you $9.99 per month, which is really a great offer since we’ve spent up to $25 per order on other sites. Desperate times! Did we mention you can also get alcohol (including beer and wine) delivered in as little as one-hour! Is there anything they can’t help us with?!
Don’t Forget to Add the Tip: By default, when you place your order you’re only being charged for your order itself. Unlike some other delivery services, you need to remember to add the tip (you can do it easily right through the app). There’s a lot of debate online about what you should be tipping your delivery person. While tipping is always at your discretion, let’s be honest, these people are total life-savers these days. For us, we tip a minimum of 20%. Depending on your order, location, and immediate need we recommend at least hitting the 15% target. It’s worth it and these folks are working so hard!
Get In Touch: From time to time you may need to contact the folks at Postmates. Sometimes it’s hard to find their contact info so here’s a quick cheat sheet for you:
- Contact: Send Them An Email Here
- Twitter: Tweeting at Them Actually Can Work!
