We’re not going to lie. We did’t realized that Reese Witherspoon even had a book club until we heard about when season one of Big Little Lies entered our lives. Ever since then we became totally hooked on just about everything that she recommends each month. It’s tough to balance that between Oprah’s Book Club and Jenna Bush Hager’s Book Club, and heck even TokTok has a book club now – but we suppose there’s always time to read three a month!
Reese teamed up with her company, Hello Sunshine, to launch her official book club back in 2017. Many of her picks have even been turned into television shows like “Little Fires Everywhere.” #Obsessed.
Our favorite pick from Reese was “Where the Crawdad’s Sing” by Delia Owens. We picked it up at the beginning of the summer and read it in about 5 days. We never wanted it to end! If you haven’t checked that one out yet, Barnes & Noble referred to it as,
…at once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming-of-age story, and a surprising tale of possible murder. Owens reminds us that we are forever shaped by the children we once were, and that we are all subject to the beautiful and violent secrets that nature keeps.”
