Similar to mattress shopping, finding the ideal time to buy a 4K television involves a combination of seasonal sales, product cycles, and consumer demand. So, when should you pull the trigger on that shiny new 4K TV? While there isn’t a definitive “one-size-fits-all” answer, there are certain months that tend to offer better deals and discounts on 4K TVs:

The Best Month(s) to Buy:  November, December, January, February, and May.

November (Black Friday): Black Friday, which falls on the day after Thanksgiving here in the US, is renowned for its massive discounts and doorbuster deals across various product categories, including electronics like 4K televisions. Many retailers slash prices on TVs during Black Friday sales events, making it an excellent time to score a bargain.

December (Holiday Season): The holiday shopping season extends beyond Black Friday, with retailers continuing to offer discounts and promotions throughout December. When NOT to Buy a New TV

Believe it or not, from years of our own sales research and internal data, be found the worst month to pick out a new television is the month of October.

Timing of Sales Events: October falls between major sales events like Black Friday and the holiday shopping season. As a result, retailers may not offer as many promotions or discounts on televisions during this month compared to peak shopping periods.

Product Cycles: Electronics manufacturers often release new models of televisions in the fall, ahead of the holiday season. This can lead to retailers focusing on promoting and selling the latest models rather than offering discounts on older ones.

Consumer Demand: In October, consumer demand for televisions may not be as high as during other times of the year when people are shopping for holiday gifts or taking advantage of major sales events. With lower demand, retailers may be less inclined to offer competitive pricing.

Limited Inventory: Retailers may be in the process of transitioning their inventory to accommodate new models or upcoming promotions, resulting in fewer options available for consumers in October.

You May Want to Buy Last Season's Model
