Are Frette Bed Sheets Worth the Price 2024

Some say that Frette bed sheets are more than just one of the most luxurious ways to sleep.  They’re an investment and, if taken care of properly, can be passed down to generations.  But what’s so special about them that many are willing to pay upwards of $4,100 for a standard set of their sheets?

I’m reviewing the brand, their sheets, how they’re made, what’s so special about them and if they’re truly worth the price.  If you’re looking for an honest review, this is it!

When it comes to creating a cozy and comfortable bed, many say that nothing beats a set of luxurious Frette sheets. Their linens are said to be a true indulgence for anyone who values high-quality materials, impeccable craftsmanship, timeless style, and some of the most comfortable bedding around…if you’re willing to pay.

Frette sheets are made from some of the finest materials available, including long-staple cotton, silk, and cashmere. These materials are carefully selected for their softness, durability, and breathability, ensuring that you get a comfortable night’s sleep every time you use them and can help to regulate your body temperature especially if you’re more of a hot sleeper.

One of the things that sets Frette sheets apart is their attention to detail. Each sheet is created using a meticulous process that involves carefully stitching and hemming the edges to ensure that they are smooth and wrinkle-free. The result is a set of sheets that not only looks beautiful but also feels amazing against your skin.

Overall, they’re available in a range of styles and designs, so you can choose the perfect set to match your personal tastes and bedroom decor. From classic white sheets with simple, elegant embroidery to bold prints and patterns, there is a Frette sheet set for every bedroom.

In addition to their beauty and quality, they’re also incredibly durable. With proper care, they can last for many years, making them a smart investment for anyone who wants to enjoy a luxurious sleeping experience for a long time to come and even potentially pass them on down to their children.  Yes, some people do that!

  • Their best seller, The Ultimate Sheet Set has a 1,000 thread count.

  • Right now this set only comes in two classic colors; white and milk.
  • There are also only 3 sizes to choose from; Queen, King, and California King.

  • Buckle up because these are expensive.
  • Queen – $3,700
  • King – $4,050
  • California King – $4,050

The Frette Ultimate Sheet Set is made out of 100% Egyptian Cotton Giza 45. The cotton used in these sheets is sourced from the Nile River Valley, which is known for producing some of the finest cotton in the world. The cotton fibers are carefully selected for their length, strength, and uniformity, resulting in a fabric that is incredibly soft, smooth, and durable.

It also features a sateen weave, which gives the sheets a lustrous sheen and a silky feel.

Like with anything, especially with sheets this expensive the pros and cons are typically subjective.  What’s a pro for you may be a con for me, and vice versa.  So instead I decided to list out some of the main points I love and others you may just want a heads-up over.

  • Made from high-quality materials like extra-long staple cotton, silk, and cashmere – depending on which bedding article you choose.
  • Expertly crafted with attention to detail for a beautiful, wrinkle-free finish.
  • Available in a range of styles and designs to suit any bedroom decor
  • Incredibly comfortable to sleep on, with a soft and smooth feel.
  • Durable and long-lasting with proper care.
  • Great investment for anyone who wants to elevate their sleeping experience.
  • The Frette brand is well-respected and synonymous with luxury bedding.

  • You know it’s going to be the price.  Through the roof!  Frette sheets can be quite expensive, which may not be feasible for everyone’s budget (and certainly not mine).
  • Depending on which sheet set you select, some customers find some sheets too silky or slippery (especially with certain pillowcases).
  • While you should wash them regularly, some sets require special cleaning care like washing in cold water, avoiding fabric softeners, etc.

Used in some of the highest end hotels in the world, Frette sheets considered so special due to their exclusivity, comfort, luxurious feeling, and the fact that they’re made from high-quality materials and are crafted to a high standard of quality. The materials used to make Frette sheets, such as 100% Egyptian cotton Giza 45 and silk, are of the finest quality and are more expensive than other types of cotton or synthetic fibers. Additionally, they’re often embellished with intricate embroidery or hemstitching, which requires skilled craftsmanship and adds to, not only the price, but that personalization and exclusivity factor.  Basically, these are inspirational sheets, but ones that some could still find attainable.

The Frette brand itself is known for its reputation for luxury, quality, and exclusivity. The brand has a long history dating back to 1860, and they’ve been associated with luxury hotels and high-end retailers for decades. Because of this Frette sheets have become a status symbol and a symbol of luxury and sophistication, which allows the brand to command a premium price.  Some would call it an insane price, but we’re going to go with “premium price.”

While nothing fully lives up to Fetta, there are some additional high-end luxury bedding brands that compete in the same space, especially when it comes to sheets.  The top five worth checking out include:

Yves Delorme
Peacock Alley
Fili D'oro

Another tough question to answer, so I’m going to answer this more for myself and the everyday reader at Trendsicle.

Without a doubt, these are amazing bed sheets, of the highest caliber.  Do I think they’re worth the almost $4,100 price tag?  No.  Well, let me rephrase.  For someone who is slightly on a budget, would I pay $4,100 for a sheet set even though it has a 1,000 thread count?  No.  Especially not after learning all the myths about thread count.

Now, if money is no object are they worth the price?  I’m still not convinced their best selling “Ultimate Sheet Set” is worth the $4,100 price – even if that’s not a lot of money for you.

I would actually recommend going with a slightly more affordable option like their Triplo Bourdon sheet set for $1,350 which is made from comfy and cool pure cotton poplin that’s like a mix between precale and sateen.  Again, everything is subjective.

Frette Editor Rating:

Of course you can shop direct at Frette, but there are some additional high-end approved retailers that carry their sheets (and other products too).

Right now there’s a 10% promo code for Frette that I talk about in this article.
