I’m reviewing the brand, their sheets, how they’re made, what’s so special about them and if they’re truly worth the price. If you’re looking for an honest review, this is it!

Like with anything, especially with sheets this expensive the pros and cons are typically subjective. What’s a pro for you may be a con for me, and vice versa. So instead I decided to list out some of the main points I love and others you may just want a heads-up over.

JUST A HEADS-UP

You know it’s going to be the price. Through the roof! Frette sheets can be quite expensive, which may not be feasible for everyone’s budget (and certainly not mine).
Depending on which sheet set you select, some customers find some sheets too silky or slippery (especially with certain pillowcases).
While you should wash them regularly, some sets require special cleaning care like washing in cold water, avoiding fabric softeners, etc.

SO, WHY ARE FRETTE SHEETS SO SPECIAL

Used in some of the highest end hotels in the world, Frette sheets considered so special due to their exclusivity, comfort, luxurious feeling, and the fact that they’re made from high-quality materials and are crafted to a high standard of quality. The materials used to make Frette sheets, such as 100% Egyptian cotton Giza 45 and silk, are of the finest quality and are more expensive than other types of cotton or synthetic fibers. Additionally, they’re often embellished with intricate embroidery or hemstitching, which requires skilled craftsmanship and adds to, not only the price, but that personalization and exclusivity factor. Basically, these are inspirational sheets, but ones that some could still find attainable.

THE BOTTOM LINE, ARE THEY REALLY WORTH IT?

Another tough question to answer, so I’m going to answer this more for myself and the everyday reader at Trendsicle.

Without a doubt, these are amazing bed sheets, of the highest caliber. Do I think they’re worth the almost $4,100 price tag? No. Well, let me rephrase. For someone who is slightly on a budget, would I pay $4,100 for a sheet set even though it has a 1,000 thread count? No. Especially not after learning all the myths about thread count.

Now, if money is no object are they worth the price? I’m still not convinced their best selling “Ultimate Sheet Set” is worth the $4,100 price – even if that’s not a lot of money for you.

I would actually recommend going with a slightly more affordable option like their Triplo Bourdon sheet set for $1,350 which is made from comfy and cool pure cotton poplin that’s like a mix between precale and sateen. Again, everything is subjective.
