However, if you’re new to the game there are actually a bunch of different types of guitars to learn about. We put together a brief explainer on some of the different types so you can better figure out which one(s) may be best for you. - Classical Guitars: These are similar to other types of acoustic guitars, but they use nylon strings instead of steel strings, which gives them a softer, mellow sound.
