One of the coolest sustainable fashion brands that’s still blowing up on social media is Reformation. If you haven’t heard of them before, your kids certainly have. I’ll fill you in on what they’re all about, some of their newest arrivals this week all over TikTok, and the deal with their sales events and coupon situation.
Personally I love to highlight sustainable clothing brands that are just doing things right. We’ve covered Reformation some years back when they partnered with Nordstrom, but we’re revisiting them because they just basically on fire these days, especially on social media.
Reformation’s goal is to bring sustainable fashion to everyone. They’ve been around since 2009 (based in LA), but after selling some vintage clothing at their first location they quickly turned to creating their own sustainable clothing and have been growing by leaps and bounds since then. They built their own factory right in Los Angeles and work with folks all over the world in a healthy, fair, and safe working conditions kind of way.

While Reformation was originally a cult-favorite, thanks to celebrities and social media so many of their tops, jeans, and dresses sell out almost immediately online. Taylor Swift’s very first TikTok ever included her sporting Reformation’s yellow “Joyce Dress” and it sold out almost immediately. And speaking of TikTok, their own hashtag also has quite the cult-following, with influencers and just everyday regular people creating videos to the tune of 30 million video views.
They’ve been named as one of the best sustainable clothing brands of the year by the fashion editors at Byrdie and there really is so much to choose from that’s always on trend like:

I have to say, while some items are of course on the pricer side, overall their pricing is really fair. Sometimes when you’re focusing on sustainability and fair and ethical working conditions, it’s hard to keep the prices way down. But, depending on your budget there really is something for just about everyone (even if you don’t have a coupon). More on that in a second.
If you love the likes Everlane, I definitely recommend giving Reformation a look if you haven’t already. You’ll feel good and look good, all while doing good at the same time.
REFORMATION’S SALES & COUPON CODE POLICYIn my opinion, Reformation does everything they can to keep their prices fair and as affordable for us as possible. So when it comes to things like promo codes and even sales, they’re typically not happening on a regular basis. I looked into this so that we can all be on the same page with the most efficient and real ways to save.
The good news is that, yes, Reformation does accept coupon codes right at checkout directly on their site. Believe it or not some sites don’t even accept coupons at all. The horror! But, Reformation doesn’t really offer many coupons throughout the year. I spent time time on some of the regular “go to” coupon sites and any codes they claimed to have were a total bust.
My best advice to get an actual working coupon from Reformation is to sign up for their newsletter. Just enter in your email address and you’ll be on the list for any upcoming sales, the latest arrivals, and any exclusive promo codes they may be offering directly to their customers.
Other than that, the only other offer I was able to find is their free shipping (standard) and returns offer – which really is helpful. Who wants to pay for shipping anyway? What’s great about that is that you actually don’t even need a code to get free shipping. Phew!
As far as sales go, they really only have two times per year where they run actual major sales events. The first is their, now famous, Summer Sales Event. Similar to Nordstrom’s yearly sale, most items are priced up to 40% off. Historically, this takes place in August. The second big sale is at the end of the year, which is typically in December. What’s great about these sales is that you’re not just getting last season’s clothing. It’s a great way to score the best deals on the current trends. Totally worth the wait.
At this time I was unable to find a student discount or military, first responder, healthcare worker discount code offers from Reformation. I also didn’t find a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale, but if any of that changes I’ll keep y’all updated with their latest info and deals.
