Our one stop shop for all things vitamins and supplements at reasonable prices – you gotta check out the folks from iHerb. They have so much to choose from and many are even on sale right now!
Our Take:
Like everyone we know, a new year meant coming up with all sorts of resolutions – mainly around all things getting healthy. We know, been there, done that. We’re definitely not experts when it comes to anything health, but we came across the iHerb website and, well, we’re basically not shopping anywhere else. Ever. For real. If you haven’t heard of them yet or tried them out, get ready for a way better shopping experience.

We read a stat that Americans spend upwards of $35 billion (yes, billion) a year on health supplements, vitamins and the like. We assumed that most of that was just us. Apparently y’all are into it too! But all kidding aside, we’re never really quite sure what we’re supposed to buy when it comes to things like whey protein, vitamins that work, etc. And we end up basically waisting so much money trying to figure it all out. That’s where iHerb comes in.
Now don’t get us wrong, we love Amazon. Like, a lot. It’s pretty unhealthy how much we love them. We buy everything from them. Our only issue in the past was when it came to supplements. We had a hard time figuring out if it came directly from Amazon or a third party seller. While they do vet their third parties, we’ve had a handful of not-so-great experiences. So, with iHerb they actually don’t work with third parties at all, they’re shipped direct from them, their inventory is fresh and new (turned over 8 times per year so you don’t have to worry about expiration dates), and they have some of the top brands.
We started with our favorite protein bars by Rise. Side note, if you haven’t had a Rise bar we feel like they are the best ever. Most only have 3 ingredients and are probably the best we’ve ever tasted. We go with the Honey Almond, so check those out if you’re interested. On some other sites we’ve paid more than $35 for a box (ugh), but when we bought ours on iHerb we saved a little ($28), but we got free shipping and even saved an additional 10% because we bought in bulk (3 boxes). They shipped really fast and the expiration date was 9 months from when we purchased them. Perfect!
Outside of our normal go-to’s, we found that they had some other really amazing options too that range from things like collagen supplements, sanitizing wipes (we can never have enough of those!), beauty essentials for women and men, vitamins, pet food, sports nutrition, and everything in between.
Overall we found their prices pretty competitive. TBH, at times we did find them a bit cheaper (by a dollar or two) on some other sites, but with some of their different sales and offers we actually did end up saving even more than those other sites. And, well, we just feel better knowing exactly where it’s coming from and not having to deal with random third party sellers is the real game-changer for us.
So if you’re a regular shopper of supplements or just want to try out a new experience, we def think you should give iHerb a try. We’re pretty in love (so far) and think you’ll be too.
The Deal With the Deals:
So that’s one of the things that we like the best. There’s always some kind of deal or sale going. In the past month we’ve seen an average sale savings of about 20%. Some, for sure, are way more than that but overall 20% seems to be the sweet spot. Check out all their active sales and promotions here.
We’ll keep an eye out on other times of the year when most retailers are having major sales like Black Friday, the week after Christmas, and Labor day to see if they’re having any above-average sales events too. We’ll keep you posted!
To Gift or Not to Gift:
There are actually a bunch of items that make great gift ideas at iHerb and we’ve even added some to our own gift guides as well. You’d be surprised what’s on there that your giftee would really love. We put together this quick list of gift ideas to help make your overall idea generation go a lot faster!

- Grandparents – Go with their bone and joint supplements – See it here

The Deal With Promo Codes:
We totally get it. We’re always looking for ways to save a little extra. But here’s the deal. iHerb does have coupons and promo code offers, but you have to shop them directly on their own site. We haven’t see them provide discounts to other websites (we don’t offer them here either). We researched this for a bit and when we tested codes from other sites, honestly, we didn’t get any to work. That doesn’t mean they’ll never work, but we decided not to waste our time anymore and just shop direct.
Some of the promotions we’ve seen from them included things like:
- 5% off your order – See it here
- 10% off when you spend $60 – See it here
- Free shipping – See it here
And we recommend to sign up for their emails because they’ll send over the latest info on current sales, upcoming deals, new arrivals, and even some coupons (that actually work!) from time to time. Totally worth it.
