The gap is stark enough to be worth stating plainly. A used 256GB unit in mint condition has been listing around $1,700 against $3,699 new, which is close to half price. That isn’t a discount any retailer is ever going to match on a new one.
What Actually Counts as a Good Vision Pro Deal
With no new-unit discounting to chase, value here comes from the used market and from not overpaying on the extras.
- Budget for the optical inserts. ZEISS Optical Inserts are $99 and are a required add-on if you wear glasses. They aren’t included, and plenty of buyers find that out late.
- The Dual Knit Band is $99 and fits the older headset. If you already own an M2 Vision Pro and the complaint is comfort, that’s the cheapest meaningful upgrade there is. It isn’t a reason to buy a whole new unit.
- Third party refurb channels are mostly empty. Back Market, Mac of All Trades and Reebelo have all been showing the Vision Pro out of stock. Don’t plan around a refurbished unit appearing.
