La Mer is basically the gold standard when it comes to some of the most sought-after face creams and moisturizers of all time. And while the price can be a bit scary, we have found some amazing prices and deals happening right now!
Our Take:
Secret time! We’ve been using La Mer for years – yes – even before they came out with a men’s line. We were first introduced to them when a co-worker at the time had given us a free sample since we complained about dry skin just about every day of the week (especially in the winter). We were a bit stunned when we realized the price, but after trying to many other brands – this one really did work the best. The best part? A little goes a long way and we have a beard (well, uneven stubble) so you’d think we’d need a lot. We don’t!
Not only has La Mer been our favorite for some years now, but you (the readers) buy it regularly especially during the holidays when we add them into so many of our popular gift guides. They really do have some great gift sets to choose from too!

Still don’t believe us because, well, who are we? We get it. The good news is that even the editors of Vogue has hand-selected some of their skincare essentials (this year) as some of the best of the year. Of course, everyone’s favorite is always their Crème de la Mer moisturizer (that’s the one we buy all the time), but did you know they have a bunch of other cult faves as well? For the most part, you really can’t go wrong with any of their products. However, we swear by their face moisturizer. Like we said, we have super dry skin pretty much all year round and this not only helps with that, but helps eliminate those red patches on our stubble especially when we shave. A total win.
The elephant in the room is definitely the price. Yes, it’s expensive. But totally worth it. We love it as much as we love our Hanacure face treatments and we actually alternate each month with the two so that our face doesn’t get totally use to it month after month.
You can usually pick up their brand at higher end retailers like Saks, Bloomingdales, and over at Nordstrom. Speaking of which, sometimes you can score a really great deal (or free gifts) during the Anniversary Sale that Nordstrom has each year. Be on the lookout for that from us soon!
So, we say give them a shot! We think you’ll love La Mer as much as we do. If you can get over the price, it’s all smooth and glowing skin after that!
The Deal With the Deals:
Of course we’re always looking for a sale and – at times – you can find one directly on their site. In the past we’ve seen some of the best sales happening during the three day event of Black Friday in Cyber Monday. You could get up to $50 off, free shipping, and some free gifts too. At times, you may find some sale prices on other retailers, but your best bet is to just shop direct with them.
