Before you compare a single product, sort yourself. Almost every guide to office pods quietly mixes three different things: acoustic booths that go inside an existing office, insulated pods that go in your backyard, and glass garden rooms that photograph beautifully and are mostly three-season. They cost different amounts, they're bought by different people, and only one of them is a construction project. Pick your lane below.
The other thing worth knowing up front is that the decibel number on a listing usually means nothing you can compare. There's a real standard written specifically for pods, and most sellers don't use it. Start here and everything else makes sense. A normal speaking voice is about 60 dB. A pod's number is how much it takes off. So a pod that knocks off 30 dB leaves your voice arriving outside at roughly 30 dB, which is about a whisper across a room: someone can tell you're talking, but they can't make out the words.

Only one test measures this honestly. It puts the whole finished pod in a room, shuts the door, runs the fan, and measures how much of a real speaking voice actually gets out. Every other rating tests a flat section of wall on its own, with no door in it and no vent through it, which is exactly where the sound escapes. On a spec sheet that pod test is called ISO 23351-1 and its number is written Ds,A, so those are the words to use when you ask a seller.

Read those last two rows together. Pods at a fraction of the price routinely claim a bigger number than a Framery that was actually measured in an accredited lab. Either they genuinely beat the best-tested pod in the category, or they aren't measuring the same thing.
The Bottom Line: If it's going inside an office, the honest answer is that everything in this price band is the same handful of factories under different names, so buy on size, looks and stock rather than on a decibel claim, and budget for the freight and the floor loading.
