Where To Buy It Right Now
Short answer: LEGO's own store, and nowhere else yet. That's normal for the first few weeks of an advent calendar's life, and the mass retailers usually catch up somewhere between the ship date and mid-October.

Search "LEGO Star Wars advent calendar" on Amazon today and the first page is almost entirely 2025, 2024 and 2023 sets, several of them listed by sellers who've simply put "2026" in the title because that's when you're shopping. Every one of those boxes looks close enough to fool a quick glance.
There's one number that settles it: 75456. It's printed on the front of the box under the LEGO Star Wars logo. If the listing says 75418, 75395 or 75366, you're looking at a previous year. That's not automatically a bad buy, and last year's does get properly cheap, but it isn't this one.
Twenty-four doors, all of them Mandalorian. You get Din Djarin in a sweater printed with Grogu's face, Moff Gideon in a TIE-pilot jumper with his helmet and the Darksaber on the back, Carson Teva, a Jawa, a festive Grogu, and IG-11 built around a brand-new head mould instead of the usual stack of cones. The mini builds run to seven vehicles and four brick-built creatures.
What's Actually Behind The Doors
LEGO hasn't published a door-by-door list, and honestly nobody should want one before December. What they have confirmed is the shape of it, and it's a noticeably different mix from last year's.
There are seven mini vehicles in there: the Razor Crest, Din's N-1 starfighter, a speeder bike, a Sandcrawler, an X-wing and a pair of TIE variants. Then four brick-built creatures, the Mudhorn, a Bantha, a Dewback and a Blurrg. The rest is characters and the small stuff that fills a scene out, including a weapons rack, a workbench, a gauntlet and Grogu's hoverpram.
The whole thing is 293 pieces in a box that measures about 15 by 10 inches, and the calendar folds out into a printed Mandalorian backdrop so the builds have somewhere to live for the month rather than migrating under the sofa by December 4th.
Last Year's Calendar Got Hammered
This matters more than the spec sheet, so stay with me. Set 75456 has no reviews yet, because nobody's opened one. But its predecessor does, and the criticism was loud, specific and unusually consistent, which makes it the best available guide to whether you'll like this one.
The 2025 calendar, set 75418, sits at 3.5 out of 5 across 559 Walmart ratings. That's a bad score for a LEGO set. What makes it worth reading is the shape of it: 52% of buyers gave it five stars and 26% gave it one. Almost nothing in the middle. Brick Insights, which aggregates reviewer scores, has it at 66 out of 100.
Bar scores reflect the themes that come up most often in the reviews. The 3.5 and the 559 are Walmart's own.

Read enough of those one-stars and the complaint is never "it's badly made." It's "there wasn't enough in it." Days with a single 1x1 brick. Six days of workshop furniture. Sixteen minifigures that mostly turned out to be obscure droids nobody could name, and no ships in a Star Wars set. People weren't upset about quality, they were upset that a building toy had stopped asking them to build.
Here's why that's the useful thing to know: the 2026 set reads like a direct answer to every one of those complaints. Thirty more pieces at the same price. Seven vehicles where last year had none worth mentioning. Six characters you can actually name instead of sixteen you can't. Whether LEGO fixed it deliberately or by accident, the changes line up with the criticism almost line for line.
That's not a promise it's good. Nobody's opened one. But if last year's calendar was the reason you were about to skip this year's, the specific thing you didn't like has visibly changed.
Who It's For
- The Mandalorian is the draw. This is the most Mando-heavy calendar LEGO has made, front to back.
- You skipped last year because it was all droids and no ships. This one's built the other way round.
- You want the new IG-11 head mould before it filters into pricier sets.
- You'd rather have it in hand in September than gamble on a November price you can't control.
- You just want a LEGO calendar and don't care which. City 60510 does the same job for less.
- You're price-sensitive. This line has gone roughly 35 to 40% off in each of the last two Novembers.
- You wanted original-trilogy characters. There's an X-wing and a TIE, but the cast is Mandalorian.
- You're buying for an adult collector who wants substantial builds. These are micro builds, by design.

This is the part nobody selling you the set is going to mention. LEGO Star Wars advent calendars have a very reliable habit of falling hard in the back half of November, and it's happened two years running:

So the trade is straightforward, and it's a real one rather than a trick question. Pay $44.99 now and it's on your table September 1, guaranteed. Wait until roughly the second week of November and you'll probably save fifteen or eighteen dollars, with the risk that it's gone or that this is the year the pattern breaks. Advent calendars are one of the few products where being early has actual value, since a calendar that arrives December 3rd has already failed at its job.
