Amazon has the 2026 calendar in stock at $69.99, sold and shipped by Amazon itself, with delivery inside a week. That's despite the official launch date being September 1. Buy it there and stop reading. The reason this page exists is that there are three near-identically titled versions live right now at $69.99, $69.78 and $85.00, and Walmart marketplace sellers are asking $123.95.

Jazwares has released this calendar for several years running and every edition carries almost exactly the same product name: "Squishmallows Original 24-Day Micromallows Holiday Plush Advent Calendar." Search that and you get three live listings within eleven cents of each other in some cases, holding completely different sets of characters.
The one you want right now is ASIN B0G1VCZ78V at $69.99, with Benny the Bigfoot and Cam the Cat named in the bullet points. The $69.78 listing is last year's, and its rating is a full star and a half lower. The $85.00 one is older still and is simply marked up. Check the character names, not the title.
It gets worse away from Amazon. Walmart's marketplace listing for this calendar currently starts at $123.95 from third-party sellers, for a box Amazon will ship you this week for $69.99. There is no version of this product worth twice its list price.
Twenty-four Micromallows, which are Squishmallows shrunk down to two and a half inches, one behind each numbered door. This year's set is heavily Christmas-themed: Benny the Bigfoot in a Santa suit, Cam the Cat, a Mrs. Claus, an elf, a gnome, a snowman, gingerbread, plus a run of festive animals in hats and scarves. Each one comes with a removable tag naming the character.
How Small Is 2.5 Inches, Really
Small. This is the thing to get straight before you spend seventy dollars, because "Squishmallows advent calendar" sets an expectation that Micromallows don't meet.
A regular Squishmallow is something you hug. A Micromallow is roughly the size of a golf ball, and it's designed to sit on a shelf or a desk rather than be cuddled. The reviewer at Aldi Reviewer, who has covered the smaller 12-day version of this line, put it about as fairly as anyone: they're "really cute," but some of them are "essentially little balls with images printed on them." That's accurate, and looking at this year's lineup, the ones with sculpted hats and scarves are noticeably better than the ones that are just a printed face.
The upside is that they hold up. That same reviewer checked back a year later and found the plush "look as great as the day we bought them," which is more than you can say for a lot of $3 toys.
What It Costs Per Plush
$69.99 for 24 works out to about $2.92 each. That's the number worth carrying around, because it's how you tell a real deal from a fake one in this category.
For comparison, Aldi's 12-day Micromallows calendar ran $29.99, which is right around $2.50 per plush, and it was the best value the category has produced. So $2.92 is fair. Anything meaningfully above it is not, and that's what makes the $85 and $123.95 listings so easy to dismiss.

About That Urgency
Here's where we'll differ from most of the coverage you'll read this month. Squishmallows calendars get written up as guaranteed sellouts, and for the full-size plush that's often true. For this calendar, the evidence says otherwise.
None of that makes it a bad product. It just means the honest advice is different: there's no reason to pay a premium or rush a decision, and if you're relaxed about it, watching for a discount later in the season is a perfectly reasonable play. What you should not do is pay $85 or $124 for it in August.

The 2026 calendar has no ratings yet, which is expected for something that started shipping days ago. The useful signal is what happened to the previous editions, and it's a striking split.

The 26% one-star rate is the number to sit with. Plush toys don't get one-starred for being dull. They get one-starred when the box turns up damaged, or when what's inside isn't what somebody thought they were buying. With three near-identical listings running side by side, and a product whose defining feature is being far smaller than the toy it's named after, that second problem is very live here.
What we'd take from it: buy the current edition from Amazon directly, not from a marketplace seller, and set expectations about the size before it's opened. Those two moves address most of what could realistically go wrong.
Who It's For
- You've got a Squishmallows collector in the house. Twenty-four exclusives they can't get individually is the whole appeal.
- You want a countdown that produces a keepable object every day rather than a piece of chocolate.
- Shelf and desk display is the point. These are made to sit in a row and look good.
- You want it settled early. Amazon's shipping it now, which not everything on the September list is doing.
- Whoever's opening it expects actual Squishmallows. At 2.5 inches these are collectibles, not cuddle toys.
- Seventy dollars is the ceiling and you'd rather not gamble. A quarter of buyers rated last year's edition one star.
- You're happy to wait. This line has cleared out at nearly half price after Christmas.
- You need a surprise. All 24 characters are printed on the back of the box.
