No Rad bike is discounted right now, so this standing discount is the largest reduction available on a bike. Verified through GOVX ID at checkout.
Check Eligibility →The Back to School markdown on the RadWagon 5 has ended and the bike is back at $2,399. No Rad bike carries a discount right now; the reductions are all on accessories, where 23 items are marked down by 10% to 30%. Beyond that its deals page still reads stay tuned, more deals coming soon, and no other bike in the range carries a reduced price. So the honest version of this page isn't a long list of markdowns.
What does exist is worth knowing about, because two of the savings are larger than most coupons would be. Qualified GOVX members take 15% off, and many US cities and states run ebike rebate programs that can be applied toward a Rad and are often worth several hundred dollars. Everything below is taken from Rad’s own site, including current pricing across the range so you can see what full price actually looks like.

This is the largest discount Rad currently offers and it's a standing one. Military, first responders, teachers and other qualified GOVX members take 15% off select ebikes and gear. Select the GOVX ID option at checkout and the discount applies after verification. Non members can register through GOVX ID during checkout. Valid on select ebikes and gear while supplies last.
The most overlooked saving on an ebike, and often far larger than any coupon. Many US cities and states run ebike subsidy or voucher programs, and Rad keeps a list of the ones that can be applied toward a Rad ebike. These are separate from anything Rad discounts itself, so check your area before assuming full price is the price.
Rad lets you test ride before buying at more than 500 neighbourhood bike shops or any RadRetail location. On a $1,500 to $2,400 purchase where fit and frame style matter, riding one first is worth more than a small discount.
Rad sells accessory kits rather than only individual parts. Cargo and utility bikes in particular need racks, bags and inserts to be useful, so pricing the kit against the separate pieces is worth doing before you add items one at a time.
Battery safety is the live issue in ebikes, and Rad markets its Safe Shield batteries on that basis. Relevant if you're buying a spare or replacing an older pack rather than buying a complete bike.
Rad offers extended protection plans alongside its standard warranty, plus a Rad Care service subscription. Worth weighing on an ebike specifically, since drivetrain and electrical repairs are more expensive than on a regular bicycle.
Rad Power Bikes is now under new ownership after LIFE EV completed an asset acquisition of the business, and Rad flags this in its own site banner. The store is trading and shipping normally, but it's worth being aware of if you're weighing long term warranty support or parts availability on a large purchase.
The entry point into the range at $1,499 and the most versatile of the cargo utility bikes. Not discounted, like everything else in the lineup, but it's the lowest cost route onto a Rad.
The long tail cargo bike at $1,799, built for hauling children or shopping rather than commuting light. One size currently available, so stock is thin.
The folding model at $1,899, aimed at apartment storage, RVs and boats where a full frame won't fit. Two sizes available.
The commuter focused Radster at $1,999 with the broadest size availability in the range at four. Listed with a compare price identical to its selling price, so despite appearances there's no reduction here.

How to get the best Rad Power Bikes price
1
Check your local ebike rebate first, since city and state programs are usually the largest single saving available.
2
If you're military, a first responder, a teacher or otherwise GOVX eligible, verify through GOVX ID at checkout for 15% off.
3
Book a free test ride before committing, because frame style matters more on a cargo ebike than on a regular bike.
4
Price accessory kits against buying racks and bags separately, particularly on the cargo models.
5
Don't wait for a code. The only markdowns Rad is running are on accessories, and the reader codes below are unverified.
💡 Rebates and the GOVX discount come from different places, so it's worth checking whether both can apply to the same purchase in your state.
About Rad Power Bikes
Rad Power Bikes is one of the largest ebike brands in North America, known for cargo and utility models like the RadRunner and RadWagon rather than performance road bikes. The current range spans cargo, commuter, folding and off-road, priced from $1,499 to $2,399.
The company is now under new ownership following an asset acquisition completed by LIFE EV, which Rad announces in its own site banner. The store is trading and shipping normally, though it's a fact worth knowing when weighing long term warranty and parts support on a purchase of this size.
Rad Power Bikes vs the competition
A quick look at how Rad compares with two other ebike brands on the things that affect what you pay.
| Rad Power ★ | Aventon | Lectric |
|---|
| Entry price | $1,499 | Comparable | Lower |
| Currently discounting | No | Varies | Frequent bundles |
| Service discount | 15% via GOVX | Varies | Varies |
| Test ride network | 500+ shops | Dealer network | Limited |
💡 Our take: with no sale running, Rad is competing on the test ride network and the GOVX discount rather than on price. If neither applies to you, it's worth comparing against brands currently running bundles.
Best months to buy a Rad ebike
JanFebMarAprMay 🔥JunJulAugSep 🔥OctNov 🔥Dec
- May (🔥): the start of riding season, when ebike promotions typically begin.
- September (🔥): end of season clearance, historically the best window for outgoing models.
- November (🔥): Black Friday, usually the deepest discounting of the year across the category.
💡 Rebate programs often run on annual budgets that exhaust before year end, so applying early in the year can matter more than waiting for a sale.

Start with a local rebate
City and state ebike incentives are frequently worth several hundred dollars, far more than any coupon on this category.
🎖
Use GOVX if you qualify
15% off select ebikes and gear is the largest discount Rad itself offers, and it's standing rather than seasonal.
🚲
Test ride before you spend
Free at 500+ shops, and on a cargo ebike the frame style is harder to judge from photographs than people expect.
💡 There's no sale to wait out right now, so if a rebate or the GOVX discount applies to you, that's as good as the price gets.
